Why I love Pugs... by: Kylie Reeves, Guest Writer

Pugs date back to around or even before 600 BC. Then in the early 1500-1600's, China began trading & the popularity of the Pug began. Around the 1800's, the Pug became more official as a breed. It's oriental beginning has linked the Pug with the Pekingese breed type.
A funny story about a Pug in our history is about Napoleon's wife. She used her prized pet Pug named "Fortune" to carry secret messages to Napoleon while he was imprisoned. Fortune had these secret messages hidden underneath his collar.
A bit of trivia about Pugs, is the phrase "multum in parvo" commonly referenced to Pugs. It's meaning stands for "a lot of dog in a small space." - You can ask your friends, this trivia question!
